Massive fire of railway sleepers in yard

Fire investigations officers have started searching for evidence pointing to what may have sparked a large blaze of railway sleepers at a Nottinghamshire firm. Around 60 firefighters battled the blaze, which started at a Nottingham railway sleeper yard.
Around 60 firefighters were called to the Alpine Industrial Park in Elkesley, Nottinghamshire, after a large number railway sleepers went up in flames. Crews were involved from Retford, Worksop, Tuxford, Mansfield, Edwinstowe, Newark and Collingham fire stations.
